My name is Tamara Nakhjavani. I strongly believe and know in my heart that my journey of becoming a healer began and was cultivated in many other life times. But here, we will focus on this one alone.
As is always the case, every healer I have known has gone through a process of initation through a series of challenging life events.
After this process of initiation, healers and light workers begin the journey of owning their shadows of fear, insecurity, judgment, fear, shame, etc., fully before becoming a channel to help others. I am no exception.
Between the ages of 16 and 25, I suffered a tremendous amount of trauma and anxiety due to immigration alone with my family and a history of mental, physical, emotional and verbal abuse; leading to PTSD and blockages within my energy body.
As is the miracle of this magical universe, somehow, around 2008, I happened to attend a free reiki clinic at the Hypnosis Clearing House in Lafayette, CA. Though I was not consciously aware at the time, I do recall returning home and telling a beloved friend that I was going to learn Reiki.
I now know that something in me, perhaps my higher self recognized a deeper connection to what we call "ki" or universal life force at the time.
This recognition led me to begin taking energy therapy courses in EFT, Chakra healing and energy boundaries. Following this training, I began my Reiki training and completed my Reiki I to III (Reiki Master) training at HCH.
Following my Reiki training, I began to provide free reiki to friends and family at my home. Slowly, I began to find my Reiki hands and started a part-time Reiki practice.
To deepen my studies, I enrolled in the clinical hypnotherapy program at HCH and 2 years later, I completed my studies and received my certification.
The program has truly changed me as a healer as it served to clear a lot of my own trauma and gave me tools which I incorporate into all my sessions.
Then, about a year and half following my Reiki 3 training, I began to sense the spirit of Doctor Mikao Usui in my sessions. At the time, I did not know why this was happening but soon thereafter I began to teach the healing art of Reiki.
Today, I actively teach Reiki one on one and in groups out of my private office. To pay respects for the gifts I received by attending the initial Reiki clinic I attended in 2008, I also began a free reiki clinic which repeats every month on the second Thursday of each month in Berkeley, CA (at the Persian Center at 7 p.m.).
In addition, I am honored to moderate the same clinic that started my path at HCH Institute on the first Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m.
Just when I thought I was done, I began to feel a deep calling, similar to the calling I received to find my Reiki hands to study the healing art of Shamanism. Later, I found that in one of my strongest past lives, I was a medicine woman providing healings for many people in my village and surrounding areas.
The nearly 2 years of Shamanic training continued to clear my energy channels of shadows and past trauma and strengthened my connection to source energy or what we call great spirit as well as my helping spirits and power animals.
I currently assist my teacher Doctor Greg Harper (Wilder) at HCH with his ongoing Shamanic classes and feel honored to deepen my studies of this primordial and powerful healing art for many years to come.
It has been a beautiful journey so far filled with love and gratitude. My hope and intention is to continue serving as an intuitive channel of love and healing for others, facilitate their connection with their inner wisdom, and bring peace and balance to their lives. I'm supported by great family members, friends and clients who continue to teach and support me as a light worker.
